I upcycle ties, printed or sewn with a variety of content: poor images sourced from the internet, photos I have taken and collages i've created.

Initially I started printing my digital artworks on thrifted ties to display my art on my body whenever I wanted.
Ties seemed like the perfect medium, placed on such a central part of the body with a history emphasising industrialisation, uniformity and tradition.
I feel the repurposment of these objects serves as a rejection of these notions in a playful way.
Sourcing the materials sustainably is really important to me and a crucial part of the design is that each tie is unique.
I believe fashion is a powerful art form and I am always looking for ways to experiment with how I use it to interact with the world. Selling the ties to others is a way of displaying art outside of the gallery whilst giving people a unique garment that aids their expression of individuality.
I’m interested in the thought of the ties walking around the with their owners and unsuspecting spectators' reactions.
Ties available to purchase via Instagram direct message.
